Ormstown enduro-cross

Last week-end was the Ormstown endurocross. My last endurocross participation was over a year ago so I didn't know what to expect. The start went perfect (these are dead engine start) I got the holeshot and thought I was leading when they stopped the race. Some banner where tear down in the woods and some of the racers ended up cutting around 5 minutes of woods section by not doing a section of the track. Second start went OK, got second and the first place girls went down in the second corner. I lead the all race, but the first 3 positions where all within 1 minute of each other. Before I realized, we where on the last lap and the second place girl was slowly making ground on me and passed me coming in the last section of woods. I ended up 2nd, only a couple of second behind Kate Colette for 1st place. I had a lot of fun, I didn't remember of fun the Ormstown track was since my last time there was on a 65cc about 3-4 years ago.

Next week-end is still up in the air since we have a couple of options, an enduro-cross in Victoriaville saturday, an MX race in Franklin on Sunday and my grand-parents are moving so we'll see what happens.

Le week-end dernier avait lieu l'enduro-cross de Ormstown, Ma dernière participation à ce type de course remonte à il y a plus d'un an. Mon départ était parfait, je décollé première mais la course a été arrêté après le premier tour. Des bannières on été arraché dans le bois et des coureurs on coupés un section de piste d'environ 5 minutes. Le 2em départ c'est aussi bien passé, j'ai parti 2em et la première est tombé dans la deuxième courbe. j'ai roulé première toute la course. Les 3 premières roulait toutes à l’intérieur d'une minutes l'une de l'autre. Sans m'en rendre compte, nous étions rendu au dernier tour et la 2em position Kate Colette se rapprochait tranquillement de moi. Elle m'a finalement passé dans la dernière section de bois. j'ai donc terminé deuxième à 4 secondes de la première. J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir, je ne me souvenais plus combien la piste de Ormstown est plaisante a rouler, ma dernière apparition la bas remonte à 3 ou 4 ans en 65cc.

Rien n'est encore décidé pour le week-end prochain, il y a un enduro-cross a Victoriaville samedi, une course MX a Franklin dimanche et mes grands-parents déménage, on verra bien.
