_ May 20 was the first motocross race in Quebec. It was a Challenge Quebec 2.0 provincial series race. Challenge Quebec is a  Quebec City oriented series, so Eve used it as a warm-up for our  CMRC Provincial. Eve didn’t know what to expect as it was her first ever race in the Women A class. Participating in the women A class is big step-up for Eve as she is only 12 years old competing against grown up Women.  She quickly set the pace in practice, setting up the fastest lap time of all the girls and women present that day. Both race went identical, while battling for the holeshot in the first corner against Ontario’s Chloe Poncia-Myre, Eve quickly made the pass and never looked back making it for a perfect weekend.

May 26-27 was our first Quebec Provincial round. All the fast women would be there. This was the real test. Saturday was the Women Open class. Eve looked good in practice and quickly set the pace in the first race. She had an OK start, made a couple of passes and finished first at her first ever race in the Provincial Women A class. Second race started out to be identical as the first one and Eve was riding in first place when she made a mistake and went off-track going up a hill. She ended up finishing 17 for a 6th place Overall.

Eve also race the schoolboy class on Saturday finishing 8th overall.

Sunday was the Women A class. Eve went 1–1 for the day but got docked 5 positions for jumping on a yellow flag and ended up finishing 2nd overall behind her teammate on the Duroy KTM team Alexandra Raymond. Eve clearly showed that if she stays mistake free, she could be the girl to beat in Quebec this summer. Eve also raced the supermini class on Sunday finishing 7th.

From there, Eve will work hard to bring her newly found speed at every provincial race this summer and carry her momentum at the Loretta Lynn Regional qualifier June 16-17.

Las Vegas was the place to be last weekend, May 4-5-6. With the AMA Supercross finale, the first round of the EnduroX series and the National Arenacross amateur championship all happening in the same town on the same weekend, the all town was breathing moto.

Eve was competing in the Girls and the Women class at the Arenacross race at SouthPoint hotel and casino. Friday’s timed practice went perfect with the best time in the Girls and 3rd best in the Women. In the qualifying runs she did 2nd best in the Girls and 5th in the Women.


Sunday morning was race day, Eve got off to a bad start in the Girls heat race and tangled twice with some lappers and ended up finishing 4th. Eve finished 5th in the Women heat race.

It was now time for the Finals. Eve stalled her bike off the gate and started dead last for the 8 laps final in the Girls class. She tangled and went down in the first lap while trying to go aroung some slower riders. By lap 6 she was in 4th , making ground on 2nd and 3rd place when on the last lap they got together and they both went down opening the door for Eve to take the runner up spot on the podium.

The last race of the day was the Women, Eve got a good jump off the gate, and was in 6 after the first lap, by mid race she had made it up to 4th place and was reeling in 3rd place, finishing the race only half a bike length off of the last podium spot.

Eve’s next race will most likely be the first round of the CMRC/AMXQ Provincial championship in Ste-Julie.

April 27,2012 marked our second trip to Area51 motocross track in western New-York. Eve was pretty confident going in and had a good day of practice on Friday. Saturday she was racing 3 Loretta classes, Girls 12-15, Supermini, and Schoolboy. Eve showed she had the speed to easily win the Girl class but fell in both races, the first time trying to make a pass for first place et in the second race while having a comfortable lead.

She also crash of the start of one of the Supermini and had a big get off in the schoolboy class. Overall, even if she showed some promising speed, it was a day to forget so we scratched it off. Eve got some rest, went to bed early and started off fresh for Sunday's race.

Eve was racing Girls 9-12 and Women 12+ as part of the western New-York championship. Eve convincingly  won both of the Girls races and showed good speed on her first race in the Women aboard her brand new Duroy KTM 150SX with two 4th place finish.

Next weekend Eve's heading to Las Vegas to compete in the National Arenacross Finale on her KTM 105SX. She really look forward to it.
