August 25-26th was round 6
of the CMRC Quebec provincial series.
Having spent the last month on the
road, participating at out of province
National Events, Eve was looking
forward to be racing with her friend
in our her Provincial series.

Eve was able to put her Duroy KTM on the top step of the podium in all of the four Women heat races she entered that weekend giving her the overall win in both Women Open and Women A class.

Next weekend is round 7 of the provincial Series at Deschambault MX park, one of Eve's favorite track on the Quebec circuit.

Walton Transcan National race report

8/21/2012

Last week was the Canadian National championship, the Walton Transcan.  After the Sand Del Lee’s race where Eve placed second, we drove directly to Walton for the Tuesday move-in day. Eve was pretty confident going in and felt a top 5 overall at the end of the week was in reach. After Tuesdays practice session we knew that If she kept it on 2 wheels she could even break the top 3.

Podium interview after moto 3

First moto went pretty good, a top ten start that quickly turned into a 3 way battle for 2nd place. She ended up finishing 3rd behind Kate McKerroll and Renée Riendeau.

Second moto didn’t go as planned, Eve crashed all by herself off the start, quickly remounted and started to make a charge back thru the pack. She made her way back to the front runner and finished wheel to wheel just behind 5th place finisher Kennedy Lutz.

Third and last moto was the best of the week, Eve got second of the start, was running in first for half the race but a couple of mistake opened the door for McKerroll to take first place. She was able to hold on to second place for her second podium of the week. She also set the fastest lap time of the race.

Her 3-6-2 finish were good enough for a 3rd place overall for the week, a pretty impressive finish for a 12 year old considering that last year she could barely break the top 20 at this same race.

Next week we are in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil for round 6 of the Quebec provincial series.

Eve would like to thanks:

PR: Eve Brodeur - Loretta Lynn and San-Del-Lee Canadian National

July 29th to August 4th was the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championship, Eve was competing in the Supermini Girls 12-15 class. Coming back from an arm injury and having no practice at all on her supermini in the last month and a half, Eve showed up unprepared and the week didn’t go as planned.

She started off at the back of the pack in the first of 3 races, crossing the finish line in 25th after lap 1, but was able to move thru the pack finishing up in 15th by the end of the race. Last 2 races went from bad to worse, with bad start and inconsistent riding. Eve ended up the week in 22nd overall.

After she got back in Canada she knew what she had to work on, and she put on some hard work during the week to be ready for the last round of the Canadian Women National in Sand Del Lee. In the first of 2 races, she had a pretty decent start and was running in 3rd pretty much the all race behind Heidi Cook and Jocelyn Facciotti. At around mid race, a slight mistake going thru the lapper set her back to 4th but she quickly charge back and got back in 3rd within a lap and a half. On the second to last lap, she took 2nd spot when Facciotti went off the track on her way to her best ever finish at a National race.

On the second moto start she was in 3rd but moved back to 4th after a couple of corner. She stayed in 4th the all race.

Her 2-4 finish were enough for a 2nd place overall for the weekend. She also finished 5th in the series at her first year competing in the Canadian National Championship.

Eve is pretty pumped as next week we are heading to the Walton Transcan Grand National Canadian championship, a type of track where she usually does good and we are hoping for a top 5 result.
