Our annual trip to the Albany Kicker Arenacross

On November 23 was the annual Albany Arenacross race. We have been attending this race for the past 4 year and it is a race we really look forward to since Eve loves those tight Arenacross races. It was her first time racing the Albany Arenacross on her KTM 150SX since last year she was still riding her 105 Supermini.

 
We had a little bit of a jetting issue for the first morning practice since the temperature had dropped down below freezing point. Eve had a hard time dialing the jumps since her bike was cutting off at full throttle. We had the issue all sorted out before the second round of practice and she finally sorted out the track and dialed all the jumps.

There was 17 riders entered in the Women’s class, a record for an Arenacross event, and they had to run 2 qualifiers. Eve and the 2 other Quebec riders E-J #43 and Cassandra #9 were all in the first qualifier. Eve had the Holeshot and checked out followed by Cassandra and E-J.

The Women’s Final was the last race of the evening, since there were only 14 gates available; they've let a couple of girl’s line up on the second row so they can race the final.

Again Eve started up front and checked out  after a couple of corners. She was the Only woman jumping the complete rhythm section and the finish line catapult jump. Cass and E-J ended up finishing 2nd and 3th for a complete Quebec podium sweep.

Other noticeable performance from our Quebec crew was Joey Paul with a 3rd and a 4th in the intermediate class, Jonathan Chayer 1st and 3rd and the novice class and Maxime Genereux with a 4th and a 5th in the Novice class.

 
Next race looks like it will be the AMA arenacross race in Worcester MA. on January 4th.
