New Beginning :)

This new season marked the beginning of new chapter of my racing career, I started riding with ‘’Big Bikes’’....Yeahhh.

I will still be riding my 105 in supermini both side of the border and in the Girls class in the US. But will be riding a brand new 150SX 2012, in the womens and schoolboy classes in Canada. I felt pretty good right of the start on the 150SX and really look forward in racing the other girls in Canada on an equal size machine in the Women A class.

At school break, Simon Taillefer, Jamy Langelier, my dad and myself went for a ‘’BrodeurRacing’’ training camp in North-Carolina. After a couple of days and a couple of inches of rainfall, we decided to pack up and headed to the sunshine state, the beautiful Florida. There were a bunch of our Quebec friends parked at Waldo so we stayed there for a couple of days before slowly making our way back up-north, stopping at a couple of tracks on the way. The main goal of our trip was to spend the last 3 days in West-Virginia for a North-East Loretta Lynn’s qualifier at Tomahawk MX park.

Again there were a bunch of Quebecers there, some of them raced, other just did the Friday's open practice. It was my first try at a Loretta qualifier in the 12-15 class and since I’ve got to know some of the 12-15 Girls class last year , I knew who were going to be the fast girls going in. Goal was for a top 3. It went better than expected and everybody that watched me raced said I was flying on the track finishing 2nd in both moto. I also raced the Supermini with the boys. With around 50 entries that day, they had to run qualifiers. I got 15 in my qualifier and went directly to the final in which I finished 25th (out of 50). Overall it was a great week-end and I look forward on returning to Tomahawk MX park one day.

From there, we went straight home after the race and after a week-end off, we had to prepare for another road trip. This time a South-East Loretta qualifier in Axton Virginia, Home of the legendary Gary Bailey MX school. I didn’t know who Gary Bailey is but my dad was all excited telling everybody he was going there. Friday's open practice was great, beautiful weather, perfect track and we made new friends, the Weidner from North-Carolina, we looking forward on seeing them at the Regional.

We had just got back to the Hotel on Friday night when rain started pouring and it rained all night. When we woke up we knew it was gonna be a mud bath. They kept postponing the morning practice till the rained cleared up and they started working on the track, cutting four or five section, it made for very shorth lap time. They asked all the classes with less than 8 riders if they wanting to race or just draw their finish position and make it count as a qualified position. Some classes elected not to race (all 50cc, Womens, ‘’A's’’ and Pro sport) but the girls all said they wanted to race. Practice went underway at 1PM and my race around 3PM.

They had combine 4 classes in our race, Girls9-11, Girls 12-15, 65cc open and 85cc open. I got the holeshot and never looked back. I even got to beat Jordan Jarvis, the girl that I considered to be the fastest 9-11 old girl last year in the US. It made me proud. I also raced supermini and was running in 10th before a fall in the last corner put me back to 13th.

We have about a month off with no races, and we will take this time off to get up to speed on the 150SX.

I’d like to thank all who made this possible, Duroy Racing, KTM Canada, Motovan.com, OCSuspension, All4oneDesign, Langelier-Lanoue, Forma boots, and my parents.
