Las Vegas was a blast, we had so much fun. Starting with the Arenacross practice on Friday, some site seeing and gun shooting Friday night, SX on Saturday and the Arenacross qualifying and finals on Sunday. I had the best lap time in Friday morning practice session and 2nd best in the afternoon. It was looking good for Sunday.

In the qualifying race I rode 1st for most of the race but got caught through lappers and finished 2nd. Again I knew I had the speed to win. In the finals I was running in 3rd in the schoolboy class when I had a big get off over the finish line catapult jump and finished 5th, then was time for the Womens race where I had an OK start and was catching up to the leader when I accidentally stalled the bike in the whoops section. I fired it up real quick and pushed hard and was catching on second place rider again when I lost the front end in a corner and lost a lots of times and positions. I ended 5th in the womens also. Let me tell you I am really disappointed with my results in the finals as I could have win (or at least podiums) that race.

I don't want to make any excuses but I really feel the 3 hour jetlag and staying up too late at the supercross race got the best of me as I shouldn't have made those little mistake and I was falling asleep between the motos on Sunday. We have learn from our mistakes and hopefully we'll be back even stronger next year .

This past weekend was our first canadian race in Latuque Quebec for the first round of the Challenge Quebec series. I will only do a couple of races in this racing series as it is in conflict with the Canadian nationals. They had a good turn out with 31 Ladies on the gate for the Women's class. I was unchallenged finishing with an over 30 second lead in the first moto. My fathers wanted to give me a little more challenge in the second moto and we decided we would wait before the first gate drop of womens would pass the first turn before taking off (about 10 second behind). It didn't worked as plan as the gate referee lift the gate right back up after the first group and I had to wait for the second gate drop to take off (about 30 second behind). I took off, kept my composure and rapidly catched back up to the first group and passed all of them one by one and still finished with a 20 second ahead second place rider. My confidence level is way up and I can't wait for next week-end to see how I'll do against the fastest CMRC/AMXQ Girls and can't wait to see how I'll be able to perform in the men's class.

Untill then it's school all week, Gym and the final packing of the race rig for our first trip out at the races with the rig this year.
