After having the first few rounds under rainy conditions so far this year, everyone was hoping for dry conditions for our second trip to the Ste-Julie race track. We we’re half lucky since it didn’t rain all weekend but Saturday morning was pretty wet as a result of all the rain we received on Friday. It’s a bad thing for the mechanic but a good thing for Eve as she has now become a ‘’master of the mud’’. She completed the morning races with a 3rd in schoolboy and dominated the Women Open class with a 46 sec. lead over second place finisher.
For the second race of the day the track had dried up a little bit, Eve still managed to take the win in the women Open class. In the schoolboy class, a fall on the first lap time put her back to last place and she was only able charge back the 8th place by the end of the race.
On Sunday was the Women A class, she took the win in both races in front of a hard charging Kim Normandin, making it a perfect weekend with 4 wins in 4 races.
Eve is tied in 2nd place for the Schoolboy championship and leads both Women’s class.
Next weekend is round 4 of the Quebec provincial Championship at X-Town in Mirabel

Après avoir vu les premières courses de la saison se dérouler sous la pluie, tous les compétiteurs espéraient le retour du beau temps pour notre deuxième visite annuelle sur le circuit de Ste-Julie. Le beau temps était de la partie, mais la pluie reçue vendredi avait rendu la piste particulièrement glissante le samedi matin. Ste-Julie dans la boue est le cauchemar de tout mécanicien, mais heureusement, Eve adore rouler dans la boue. Lors des courses de l’avant-midi elle termina 3e en Écolier et termina 1e en Femme GP, avec plus de 45 secondes d’avance sur la 2e place.
Pour les courses de l’après-midi, la piste ayant séché considérablement, l’écart avec ses poursuivantes fut quelque peu réduit, mais elle s’est tout de même emparée de la victoire dans la course et au combiné.
Lors de la classe Femme A du dimanche, Eve gagna ses 2 courses devant la très rapide Kim Normandin, pour compléter un weekend parfait avec 4 victoires en 4 courses.
Eve est a égalité pour la 2e place au Championnat Écolier et mène le championnat dans les 2 classes Femmes.
Le weekend prochain se tiendra la 5e manche du championnat Provincial sur le circuit de X-Town à Mirabel.
