What a relief to end the Canadian WMX season with an overall win and popping champagne on the top step of the podium🏁. After bad luck, crashes, mechanical issues and an injury at the first 2 rounds, I was able to take a little break between round 2 and 3, recharge my batteries and come back swinging for round 3 and 4 and show what the real Eve is made of. A race win in Deschambault and an overall win last weekend in Barrie is the type of performance I should have shown from the beginning, but I have to admit, Kennedy rode like a champ and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I ended up 2nd in the championship and although I would have like to run my #1 plate for a 4th year in a row, there’s nothing wrong with finishing second. My father always said ‘’ you always have to keep training harder because there will always be someone out there as fast or faster than you’’. Now that the season is almost over it’s time for a couple of days of vacation before starting College this coming Friday. I’m also looking forward for my shoulder surgery in September so I can come back swinging 100% healthy next winter.
